| What We Believe |
| 1.
We believe the
whole Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God,
written by holy men of God as they were inspired and directed by the Holy
Ghost.

| 2.
We believe that
there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and
Holy Spirit.
|
|
| 3.
We believe in the
deity of our Lord Jesus Christ. In His virgin birth, in His sinless life,
in His miracles, in His vicarious suffering and death on the cross.
We believe in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand
of God the Father, and in His personal return to rapture the church and
establish His kingdom here on earth in power and glory.

| 4.
We believe in the
forgiveness of sins, that for the salvation of the lost and sinful men,
regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

| 5.
We believe in the
present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling, the Christian is
enabled to live a Godly life.

| 6.
We believe in the
resurrection of both the saved and lost, they that are saved unto the
resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of
damnation.

| 7.
We believe in the
spiritual unity of believers in Christ.
|
|
| 8.
Temple stands
solidly within the Wesleyan-Arminian theological tradition an method of
Biblical interpretation. This church does not promote the practice
of speaking in "tongues", nor does the church refuse to admit
Christians who profess this gift. It does not however, permit the
practice or propagation of this phenomenon on the grounds or in any public
worship service related to the work of the church.

| 9.
The order for the
ordinance of baptism shall be as follows: let every adult person, and the
parent of every child to be baptized, have the choice of immersion,
sprinkling, or pouring; recognizing the personal convictions of the
minister as to the mode.
|
|
| 10. The Lords Supper, of Holy Communion, shall be open to all Christians who are present, even if they are not members of the church. |
