“Are You Thirsty”

 Isaiah 55 1 &2, John 4:1 – 30, 39 – 42, 7:37

Jesus uses this physical analogy to explain a spiritual truth.

Earthly things cannot satisfy an eternal craving or thirst. 

I.   “Living Water” is what we are seeking.

A.     Her past

U      Relationships – (16 – 18)

U      Religion – (20)

U      Resentment (9)

B.     Her perception

U      About Jesus – I perceive that you are a Prophet

U      About Worship – there’s got to be something more to it

II.        Living water comes from the Savior.

U      Have relationships failed you…come to me!

U      Has religion frustrated you…come to me!

U      Has resentment frozen you in your tracks and you can’t move forward with life…COME TO ME!!

U      Living Water comes from the Savior.

III.  Living Water Satisfies!

U      SHE LEFT HER WATER POTS!!!

U      Everything in this world – Jesus Christ = thirst

U      You won’t need a worldly water-pot when Christ puts a fountain of Living Water on the inside
